There’s a royal wedding gin and it’s actually pretty gorgeous

The day is set, the invites are sent, but sadly, there’s no bank holiday for us common folk.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, we’re talking about the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the 19th of May.

Regardless of bank holidays or lack thereof, Royal Warrant Holder Partridges has released a royal wedding gin.

The pretty and bergamot-infused limited edition gin celebrates Harry and Meghan’s big day. As you can imagine, it’s fittingly floral and elegant in recognition of the special occasion.

No. 2 Chelsea Flower Gin, by the way, is the actual name of royal wedding gin.

Expect sophisticated bergamot notes to come to the fore, followed by a medley of citrus and coriander, plus hints of lemon tart and vanilla.

Partridges describes it as “elegant, indulgent and rounded with body and freshness.”

The chic botanical styled bottle also coincides with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. No. 2 Chelsea Flower Gin is the little sister of Partridges’ first bottling, The Original Chelsea Flower Gin.

Royal wedding gin is actually distilled by the lauded makers of Rock Rose Gin. In fact, Scotland’s Dunnet Bay Distillery created the gin in collaboration with Partridges.

Its signature serve is a refined gin and tonic. The Queen’s grocer recommends serving 50ml of the gin with 50ml of cold Partridges Earl Grey Tea infused with honey.

Top up the mix with your best tonic water and garnish with a slice of bergamot or lime. Cheers to the happy couple!

No. 2 Chelsea Flower Gin (50cl, 41.5% ABV) is exclusively available in Partridges’ stores and online
