Flavoured gins and fruity gin liqueurs are all the rage at the moment but, with so many new launches in the market, we’re starting to see a lot of the same flavours over and over. However, Redcastle Gin has broken the mould once again with their latest liqueur – a saucy Blood Orange and Rhubarb number.
We first fell in love with Redcastle when they launched their Raspberry and Pomegranate Gin Liqueur earlier this year. They also produced a limited edition heart-shaped version for valentines day, which was a seriously adorable gift for a loved one.
Nevertheless, if you have a clear affinity to citrus-y bitter flavours you’ll love an array of other Blood Orange tipples and lucky for you we have a full guide with a few of them.
Redcastle’s Raspberry and Pomegranate liqueur has also just been nominated for “Gin Liqueur of the Year” at the Scottish Gin Awards 2018, so their Blood Orange and Rhubarb offering is set to to be a smash hit.
The Redcastle distillery is a small Scottish craft distillery based in Angus, who launched their first gin in July 2017. They’re attached to the Redcastle Brewary, who have just been nominated for three awards at the Scottish Beer Awards 2018, including Breakthrough Brewery and Best Pale Ale.
This gin is currently hot off the still, so is only available to buy at the moment in select locations around Scotland. However, if you spot a bottle in your local alcohol merchant, we would definitely recommend giving it a try.
