Glitter gin jam now exists if you fancy a shimmering Martini

Love it or loathe it, there’s one drinks trend that shows no sign of slowing down. We’ve seen the real emergence of shimmer cocktails. Whether it’s shimmer for gin or actual Shimmering Parma Violet Gin itself, there’s now so many ways to make your next G&T sparkle.

Enter: Glitter Jam, the wonderfully wacky new addition to the Popaball family.

The drinks accessory company, based in the UK, are best known for their range of shimmers and bubbles. Essentially, if you fancy taking your tipple to the next level, you need one of their creative inventions.

This glitter jam may seem a bit crazy but actually adding a preserve to your gin cocktail isn’t as mad as it seems. It’s likely you’ve heard of a Breakfast Martini, right?  You just add a spoonful of marmalade (amongst other things!) to your gin for this classic.

This is a similar concept, with a little added glitter.

For a glittery Martini, you add 2 shots of gin, the juice of half a lemon and a large spoonful of glitter jam/marmalade to a shaker or glass, then mix it all together.

Finally, strain the mixture over ice and garnish with complimentary fresh berries and a sprig of mint.

Now you have gorgeous glittery jam cocktail, and the fun doesn’t stop there.

The new preserves are not strictly reserved for cocktails. You can jazz up your toast, scones and crumpets too for proper breakfast ‘on fleek’.

These glitter jams and marmalades are made with Prosecco, gin or rum flavourings. However, you can also buy gin jam that includes leftover gin or botanicals if you so fancy.

Lots of gin distilleries do their own if you fancy your next scone with an extra boozy kick!

Popaball Glitter Jams are available now from the official website for £3.99 each.
