It appears flavoured gin is showing no sign of slowing down in popularity. The Glasgow Distillery Company has launched Makar Cherry Gin, the fifth addition to the award-winning Makar Gin family.
This new gin is created by infusing ripe, seasonal fresh cherries and a sprinkling of pink peppercorn to Makar’s Original Dry Gin.
If you’re already familiar with Makar, then you’ll know their dry gin is strongly juniper-led, a bold handcrafted tipple created in the heart of Glasgow. It’s also award-winning, having picked up an award in the premium gin category at The Gin Masters.
It looks as though this new Cherry Gin will build on that legacy, balancing traditional juniper-forward notes with delicious richness from cherries.
The gin is also said to be accompanied by a hint of subtle spice from the pink peppercorns on the finish.
It’s been created to meet the demand for new and exciting brand offerings. Perfect for when you love traditional Makar but fancy something a bit different now and again.
It certainly sounds delicious, but it’s also not the first time we’ve seen a cherry gin from Glasgow Distillery Company. If you love the brand’s Double Cherry Gin, then we reckon this might just be you.
To serve, simply pair with your favourite tonic over ice, or mix in a refreshing Cherry Collins cocktail.
Perfect for a special treat to yourself or sharing with friends alike!
Makar Cherry Gin (40% ABV) has an RSP of £25 for a 50cl bottle and is available to buy via www.glasgowdistillery.com and selected retailers.
