Of course we love nothing better than a G&T but it’s undeniable that gin baking has become a bit of a thing. Just ask Fentimans who have taken whipping up a gin & tonic cake to a completely new level.
The botanical brewery has just launched a gin bakery in west London. This new experience will offer up some seriously delicious gin treats over three days this month.
From Friday 21 to Sunday 23 September, this bakery will magically appear at Pearl & Groove on Notting Hill’s Portobello Road.
Sadly, this new gin experience is only a pop-up shop, but with so many delicious gin and tonic flavoured cakes on offer we’re willing to put our sadness aside.
Behind the glossy white front, you can expect all sorts of gin and tonic goodies. From gin and pink grapefruit tonic cheesecake to gin and sparkling elderflower cupcakes, each cake pulls inspiration from a Fentimans mixer.
However, you can also order a gin and mixer to complement your cake of course! You can order yourself a delicious Gin and Rose Lemonade Drizzle Cake and enjoy a Gin and Rose Lemonade to go.
Prices start at £4.25 for each cake, or £23 for a box of six so it’s perhaps not the cheapest way to experience your love of gin in a new way, but it is seriously novel.
The pop-up will be opened by the winner of last year’s Great British Bake Off Sophie Faldo if you fancy nipping down for a G&T and cake on opening day.
Good news is there’s also gin hotel a few doors down if you’ve not yet had enough of your favourite tipple!
