Glittery pink unicorn gin now ready to order at Wetherspoons

JD Wetherspoons have introduced a delightful new gin drink to their menu that will leave you feeling magical and tasting marshmallows all night long.

Spoons pubs across the country have begun selling a glittery-based gin liqueur known as “Realm of Unicorn” –  offing you a feeling like no other, full of sparkles and leaving you with everyone’s favourite taste of marshmallows.

The latest alternative gin brings fans a new tipple to enjoy while they are on a night out with friends, blending some of the biggest trends this year: Pink, glitter and unicorns to create a delicious new gin drink.

Controversial: Unicorn gin is now available at Wetherspoons but it’s not without debate.

Realm of Unicorn is brought to you by Manchester-based craft distillery, Zymurgorium.

This exciting new liqueur contains a whopping 21 botanical ingredients and is blended with natural vanilla to create a marshmallow taste that is like nothing you will have felt before. It also happens to be infused with a little magical unicorn dust for some added sparkle.

Founder of Zymurgorium, Manchester’s only craft gin distillery, Aaron Drake, has a love of culture, variation and science.

Sharing his thoughts on why his team added Realm of Unicorn to their extensive range of alternative liqueurs, the distiller said: “The overwhelming blandness and underwhelming dull experiences in our world are public enemy number-one.

Rebelling against the status quo, bringing out true quality and flavour from our ingredients, is what drove me to start experimenting and keeps us ahead in innovation.”

Sure enough, the bottle is bright pink, bedazzled with sparkles and has pictures of unicorns all over it!

Priced at £3.25 a glass with a mixer and £2.75 as a single shot, the mythical tipple is recommended by spoons bartenders to drink with lemonade, topped with a fresh strawberry.

If you fancy bringing a slice of magic home, a bottle can be bought on Amazon for £39.99.
