If you are the type that likes a show when enjoying your favourite drink, then get yourself to ASDA – who have began selling an exclusive colour changing gin.
The Empress 1908 is now being sold exclusively at ASDA stores. When this mixiological masterpiece is sat in its bottle it exudes a glorious deep blue-purple colour, but when you add in a citrus or tonic mixer the gin turns into a beautiful shade of soft pink.
The exclusive gin is inspired by the iconic Fairmont Empress Hotel, visited by Queen Elizabeth, and even contains the famous Fairmont Empress tea- which is served on the hotel’s renowned tea and cocktail menu.
The Canadian gin, distilled by Empress at their Victoria Distillery, contains familiar flavours – juniper, rose, coriander seed, grapefruit peel, ginger root and cinnamon bark.
The main star ingredient of this stunning creation, however, is butterfly pea flower, which is how the Empress 1908 manages to turn into its beautiful colouring.
The result delivers a unique gin we could see anyone from the Queen to Kate Middleton to you enjoying.
The supermarket will stock 700ml bottles of this regal gin, containing a whopping 42.5 per cent ABV at £38.50.
