B&M launches a pair of gins that taste of home baking

Attention Great British Bake-off fans – B&M have introduced Cherry Bakewell tart and Lemon Drizzle cake flavoured gins.

Jumping on the UK’s obsession with gin, and baking, B&M Bargains have started stocking a pair of gins flavoured like cherry bakewells and lemon drizzle cake that even Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith would appreciate.

The UK’s renewed love of gin has led to a number of new gin creations in recent years. Some that bring a new twist on classical styles, some that change colour when you add tonic and others that ignite memorable tastes from childhood – now we can now add cake to that growing list.

The discount giant have began stocking bottles of lemon drizzle cake and cherry bakewell tart flavoured liqueur gins, perfect for when you are craving that sweet baked taste.

Created by gin liqueur producers Mrs Cuthbert’s, who have recreated a number of home baking classics such as victoria sponge, blueberry muffin and rhubarb and custard crumble gin liqueurs.

The family-run Halifax-based distillers can now add lemon drizzle and cherry bakewell tart to that impressive list of creations, which wouldn’t be out of place in a delicious bakery.

The lemon drizzle offering has been developed using zingy lemon and light syrup to obtain that distinct lemon drizzle cake taste. The cherry bakewell liqueur was made with tones of biscuit, cherry and vanilla.

The distiller recommends drinking these gins neat, but does suggest mixing with your favorite tonic or even adding a sprinkling of prosecco to add something a little extra to the experience.

Priced at £9.99 each for a 50cl bottle with a 20% ABV, these gin-tastic offerings could be the perfect gift for the office secret santa or a stocking at Christmas.
