If the idea of a pink Christmas sounds like a treat to you, then why not have it extend to your drink? Pink Christmas gin has officially arrived and it looks like a real treat.
The luxury gin brand, Old Curiosity, will go blush this Christmas with its colour-changing pink gin. Yes, you read correct, this gin changes colour!
The distillery released its first trio of colour-changing gins in October last year, comprising Apothecary Rose, Lavender & Echinacea, and Chamomile & Cornflower. With the popularity of their limited edition colour changing gins it would be criminal not to launch a festive equivalent.
Rather than the classic Christmas reds, this year the distillery’s new tipple transforms from a festive blush to a vibrant pink when mixed with tonic water.
The bespoke bottling gets its magical, colour-changing properties from a natural reaction. When you add tonic to the gin it causes its PH levels to adjust. The gin has a Christmas twist with ginger, cinnamon and cardamom, which are individually distilled and added to the base.
The Old Curiosity Distillery is the most recent project from Hamish Martin, a Scottish herbologist. He is the owner of the Secret Herb Garden – a specialist herb nursery on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
You can expect to find their Christmas gin at The Balmoral Hotel’s Bar Prince in Edinburgh over the festive season.
With only 500 bottles of the limited edition gin hitting the market, we recommend you hurry up to secure one for yourself!
Priced at £49.95 per 500ml bottle, it is available to buy from Harrods from today (9 November) or from Old Curiosity’s website.
