Plymouth pub undergoes transformation and opens as stylish gin house

The Morley Arms, one of the trendiest pubs in Plymouth has just launched what looks like a stylish new gin bar.

With gin gaining fans at rapidly increasing rates, it was only expected that a pub owner would seek out a transformation to cater to their clientele made up of gin enthusiasts. Plymouth now contributes to UK’s prestigious selection of gin bars with the recent launch of this gin house.

The pub now boasts a brand new look with a Moroccan-inspired transformation with a bar restaurant area, lounging areas and an outside decking area with waterfront view.

Scott Jeffrey, the man behind the transformation of the Morley Arms said: “We sell more gin in the pub than we do draught ale”…”We know people love it so we thought we’d go for it”.

Although currently in a marquee, that doesn’t take away from the bar’s lovely ambience. The proper flooring, cosy seating area and rich variety in top shelf drinks make up for an ideal bar atmosphere. Other than the 150 varieties you can find, there is also a range of champagne and other spirits. In short, there is something for all tastes.

An element that compliments the concept of the Morley gin house is the Airbnb availability on the upper floor of the pub. This gives guests the opportunity to enjoy a night out without having to worry about where to stay overnight.

The gin bar intends to open permanently on site behind the pub come April next year.
