Gin continues to blanket the UK as sales of the spirit have tripled in the last 10 years and whilst juniper has always been the dominant flavour in gin, citrusy and herbaceous gins are taking over, as the nation begins to look for new tastes and flavours.
Aldi’s Sorgin is the perfect example of how distilleries are looking to combine new and exciting flavours as this unique blend of juniper and Sauvignon is balanced with citrus and green vegetal notes.
Light, silky and slightly tart, this gin has real character and can be enjoyed over the rocks or with slice of orange or grapefruit and tonic water to create a fantastically refreshing tipple.
The hand crafted small batch edition; G12 crafted by Masons, also offers fresh and zingy flavours which are enhanced through notes of herbs and juniper, with sharp bursts of citrus flavours adding a punch.
Combine with tonic water to create a unique take on the famous G&T or sip it neat over ice to get a real taste of the zesty and aromatic flavours.
Part of the supermarket’s current limited-edition gin range, which includes the supermarket’s bestselling The Infusionist Gingerbread Gin Liqueur, Spiced Plum and Clementine Gin and McQueen Colour Changing Gin, shoppers will be flocking to stores to try the new citrusy flavours for a little refresher during the cold winter months.
