The World Gin Awards 2019 are back for another year in celebration of internationally recognised gins.
The ceremony for the took place at London’s Caledonian Club on Thursday 10th January 2019 for round one, where gin brands were recognised on an international level. We’ll be keeping you posted on the results from round two which will announce World’s Best Gins.
This time the competition, attracted over 4000 gin entries, assessed by a panel of expert industry judges.
Best Flavoured Gin
Makar Cherry Gin was awarded the title of ‘UK’s Best Gin’and will now be a finalist in the World’s Best Flavoured Gin category, the results of which will be announced on 21stFebruary.
Makar Cherry Gin only launched five months ago so to be recognised in such a prestigious industry award so soon.

We’ll be sat on the edge of our seat in anticipation of the second round’s results, especially with Hernö Old Tom Gin having won the title of World’s Best Gin for two consecutive years. What will be the outcome this year?
