12 Gins You Should Try In Honour of Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is a day of celebration not only in the name of romantic love but love of all sorts. The run up to Valentine’s day means peak pink gin season and we’re always curious regarding the launches that various gin brands have in store honouring this day.

Whether you’re celebrating galentine’s day, the love towards members of your family or your significant other, even if you’re celebrating self-love, here are our top picks to enjoy on this day.

Edinburgh Valentine’s Gin

The Art Deco style bottle, rose floral design and bits of pink and gold make this a total go to Valentine’s gin. Floral and crisp citrus notes are balanced from a botanical mix of chamomile, lemon balm, lemongrass and Kaffir lime leaves. Hibiscus and chamomile lend sweet floral notes whilst the lemongrass and Kaffir lime round the gin out with an herbal and citrus kick.

You can get this for a limited time every year in the run-up to Valentine’s Day from Edinburgh Gin’s website (currently sold out).

Makar Cherry Gin

Makar Cherry Gin has been created by infusing ripe, seasonal fresh cherries and a sprinkling of pink peppercorn in Makar’s Original Dry Gin and this recipe has enabled the tipple to win Best UK Flavoured Gin at the World Gin Awards for 2019.

Available on Glasgow Distillery for £25.00 (50 cl, 40% ABV).

Whitley Neill Pink Grapefruit Gin

Whitley Neill Pink Grapefruit Gin

Gordon’s Pink Gin

This blush-coloured spirit combines the sweetness of raspberries and strawberries with the tang of redcurrant. This gin was an immediate success once it launched and helped to boost the popularity of pink gin in the UK, so how could we not include it as one of our favourites for V-day?

Available at Tesco for £14 (70 cl, 37.5%).

Rock Rose Pink Grapefruit Gin

Liverpool Rose Gin

The 100% organic gin is an absolute beauty. Although Liverpool Distillery is keeping mum on the exact blend of botanicals, delicate rose petals form the key ingredient making it the ideal tipple to be enjoyed on Valentine’s day.
