Fizz is always the answer. Birthdays, holidays, graduations. Because it’s Tuesday. Because the sun’s out. Or because it’s not.

The simplest method to making a gin Prosecco cocktail? Tip a measure or two of gin liqueur into Prosecco, cava, or whatever fizz is on hand.

However, for that extra special touch, follow these 12 simple cocktails that are sure to create class in a glass.

French Twist with Pinkster Royale Gin

  1. Add a measure of Pinkster Royale to a chilled flute of Prosecco or champagne.
  2. Add in a berry or two as your garnish, if desired.

Fig Fizz with The Gin Bothy

  1. Add the fig simple syrup to the bottom of a flute glass.
  2. Pour in the raspberry gin liqueur.
  3. Top up with Prosecco.

  2. Give a hard shake and pour into champagne flute.
  3. Layer and top with Prosecco.
  4. Garnish with lemon peel tuile.

Lemon Ginsecco with Malfy Limone Gin

Malfy Gin

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Malfy Limone Gin
  • Prosecco
  • 15 ml Fresh Lemon Juice – half an Amalfi Lemon
  • 7.5 ml Rosemary infused simple syrup (made by mixing equal quantities of water and sugar, heating to boiling point and then adding a couple of sprigs of rosemary)
  • 1 sprig Rosemary
  • Ice

Method

  1.  Put the ice, gin, lemon juice and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker and fill with ice.
  2. Shake well and strain into a champagne flute.
  3. Top up with Prosecco.
  4. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary.

French 75

Ingredients

  • 50ml gin
  • 30ml lemon juice
  • Sugar syrup
  • Champagne
  • Cocktail cherry
  • Lemon peel
  • Ice

Method

  1. Add the lemon, sugar syrup and gin to an ice-filled shaker.
  2. Shake for about 15 seconds until chilled.
  3. Strain into a champagne flute.
  4. Top with champagne.
  5. Stir gently, garnish with a long, thin lemon spiral and a cocktail cherry.

Cynar Gin Fizz Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 25ml gin
  • 12ml Cynar Liqueur
  • 12ml lemon juice
  • 5ml sugar syrup
  • Prosecco
  • Cucumber

Method

  1. Shake all the ingredients apart from the Prosecco and cucumber in a Boston shaker.
  2. Strain over ice into a tall glass, ideally a highball.
  3. Top up with Prosecco and garnish with a few long ribbons of cucumber.

Nicola 7 Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 25ml gin
  • 3 fresh strawberries, diced
  • A couple of slices of cucumber, diced
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • A dash of berry cordial (or Chambord if you don’t have any)
  • Rosé cava to top up
  • A strawberry to garnish

Method 

  1. Muddle the strawberries, cucumber, lemon juice and gin together in the bottom of a shaker.
  2. Add your dash of berry cordial and a handful of ice.
  3. Shake vigorously.
  4. Strain through a sieve into a martini glass.
  5. Top up with cava.
  6. To garnish, slice a strawberry down the middle and slide onto the side of the glass.

Cucumber and Watermelon Spritz

  1. Pour the gin into a champagne flute, then add the Prosecco.
  2. Top up with Double Dutch Cucumber & Watermelon.
  3. Garnish and serve..

Pomegranate Gin Fizz

  • 75ml gin
  • 150ml pomegranate juice
  • 300ml chilled Prosecco
  • pomegranate seeds to garnish

Method

  1. Mix gin and pomegranate juice together.
  2. Divide equally between six Champagne glasses.
  3. Top up with Prosecco.
  4. Garnish with a few pomegranate seeds and serve immediately.

Berry Fizzy

  • 35ml gin
  • 5ml Chambord
  • 70ml Prosecco
  • 70ml lemonade

Method

  1. Fill a glass with summer fruits – a mix of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries work best.
  2. Add gin and Prosecco.
  3. Add lemonade.
  4. Garnish with mint and serve..
