In the world of gin liqueurs, it seems anything goes and, interestingly, cake-inspired flavours have really been taking off. Note: Battenberg Gin Liqueur.
It’s not going to be every gin lover’s cup of (gin) that’s for sure but it does add a little fun to a popular alcohol trend that shows no sign of slowing down.
Like or it loathe it, cake gin liqueurs seem here to stay and, for those who fancy trying this latest teatime treat, it probably doesn’t get much better than a Battenberg cake inspired offering.
This latest weird and wonderful creation is by British gin liqueur company Brambles and is described as “a bold gin liqueur with notes of marzipan and vanilla cake.”
It’s the latest offering from bargain store B&M who are making a name for themselves by offering wacky flavoured gin and gin liqueurs it seems the public just can’t get enough of.
(The brand has formerly paired with Mrs Cuthbert’s gin liqueurs to release everything from Lemon Drizzle to Parma Violet cupcake)
It’s not the first time we’ve seen dessert inspired offerings in the industry, however. The internet formerly went wild for Cherry Bakewell Gin Liqueur, Eden Mill released an Eton Mess Gin Liqueur and Sipsmith blessed the gin world with full-strength Lemon Drizzle Gin.
Sadly, this latest addition to the cake-inspired family doesn’t come with the trademark checkered colouring of battenberg but you can expect a bright pink instead.
If you love things sweet, we reckon this might just be you…
You can pick up a bottle for £9.99 for a 50cl bottle over on the B&M website if you are intrigued.
