It seems sweet-inspired gins are as popular as ever with the latest budget gin release to hit shelves. Meet ASDA Pear Drop Gin, plus two other sweet shop style offerings.
There’s three new additions in total, that can each be found in the supermarket’s alcohol aisle, including Lemon Sherbet Gin, Pear Drop Gin, and a take on Parma Violet Gin.
The real talking point for these new tipples though isn’t just their candy flavours or their affordable price.
The lemon sherbet is infused with yellow shimmer, the pear drop boasts a hint of glitter and the parma violet offering transforms from deep purple to light pink when mixed with tonic water.
A gin lover’s worst nightmare or simply gin-spirational? Just think of the insta-worthy G&Ts you could make with these!

According to the expert team at ASDA, the mixers are equally as important as the gin.
Team the Pear Drop Gin with a slice of cucumber and a splash of tonic, while the Parma Violet Gin is said to work well with tonic or lemonade that creates the colour changing effect.
“Novelty, quality gins have become a summer must-have for customers looking to entertain with flair and flavour,” says Ed Sowerby, ASDA spirits product manager.
“Working closely with our suppliers, we’ve created a range of gins which are both glitzy and gorgeous to look at, but also deliver popular flavours the nation knows and loves.”
These additions to ASDA glitter infused gin follows the success of ASDA’s Extra Special Raspberry & Rose Gin Liqueur that sold out in stores across the country when it launched earlier this year.
If you’d like to pick up a bottle you can find them in-store and online as of today. They retail for £18 per bottle (70 cl, 40% ABV).
