The new Rock Rose ‘Coastal Edition Gin’ uses some pretty interesting ingredients – inspired by the northern Scottish coastline, on which the distillery is located.
This new and unusual gin is distilled using kelp, locally foraged by Shore Seaweed, and liquorice salt from Hebridean Mustard Company.
The result is a smooth and sweet gin with a deliciously understated salty edge.
For each of their ‘Creative Collection’ gins, Rock Rose works with artists based in the Highlands to help design the bottle and artwork.
On this occasion they collaborated with Kelly Munro who paints landscapes and creates jewellery.
Her most recent collection is inspired by the drifting tides of Caithness and seaweeds found on the northern Scottish coastline.
This latest addition to the Rock Rose family is in keeping with the theme of using locally sourced botanicals and taking inspiration from the local landscape.
We’re very excited to get our hands on one of these gorgeous bottles. Quality gin, unusual botanicals and fantastic artwork make this Coastal Edition gin a shore-fire winner in our book!
Rock Rose Coastal Edition Gin goes on sale on Thursday 20 June, 7pm, available to purchase from the Dunnet Bay website.
