An Aberdeenshire bar has created a gin and tonic ice cream float.
Edward’s Bar in Inverurie made the dessert drink which features gin, tonic, vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries, meringue and a drizzling of strawberry sauce.
A twist on a classic gin and tonic, the summer version is expected to be a big hit with customers.
Keeping cool with gin has been all the rage this season. First we had gin slush cocktails hitting the headlines, then a strawberry gin sorbet and now we have what may be the best of all: a gin and tonic ice cream float.
The UK is getting very creative with gin this summer and we’re absolutely loving it.
If you can’t make it to Edward’s bar, here’s how to make your own ice cream gin cocktail at home.
The gin and tonic ice cream float is available from Edward’s Bar in Inverurrie, priced at £7.50.
