Cafe Ocho in Glasgow is more than just a cafe. They offer booze-tasting canal boat trips and they’ve just released a limited batch of tickets for a gin-tasting boat cruise.
The cruise will take place on board Navvie’s Barge on the city’s Forth and Clyde Canal on Sunday September 8.
There will be two sailings that day, one starting at 11am and another at 12.30pm. Tickets are limited to 12 people for each cruise.

The Glasgow Canal Festival returns to our iconic Speirs Wharf on Saturday 20th July 🌤 (next weekend) We are just a 5-minute walk from Cowcaddens Subway station, so why not come along and enjoy the arts, watersports, boat races and much more! On the day we won’t be taking any bookings and our menu will be slightly reduced so that the 5000 attending can grab a bite to eat or drink with us in between activities!
Starting at Ocho at Speirs Wharf with a welcome cocktail and brunch, guests will then walk down Speirs Wharf and depart at Applecross Basin for an hour’s round trip, all the while tasting 5 different gins.
The most recent event the organisers released, a wine tasting boat cruise, sold out within a matter of hours, so get booking your gin-tasting boat cruise quickly if it sounds like your cup of G&T.
The organisers said: “We can’t wait to help you discover a true hidden gem of Glasgow, the canal and all the beauty and nature that comes with it. And with a G&T in hand, we truly cant think of any better way to explore it”.
Tickets are priced at £34 and include a welcome cocktail and Build Your Own Brunch. Buy online now at Eventbrite.
