Situated at the base of The Shard on the busy commuter trail, Bar 31 is the closest bar to London Bridge Station and will offer office workers, visitors and locals a chance to escape the rush into a gin paradise.
It seems like London’s skyscrapers are trying to out-gin each other after The Gherkin transformed their level 40 Iris bar into a gin oasis for 6 weeks this summer.
Bar 31 has been transformed into a floral garden complete with paper lanterns, wild flowers, warm glowing lights, and plenty of fresh herbs and plants.
Picnic benches and comfortable outdoor seating fill the open-air terrace, creating a casual and relaxed vibe to enjoy a summer gin or two.
The Tanqueray residency invites visitors to experience a new citrus inspired gin cocktail menu.
Expect to find Tanqueray No. TEN, Tanqueray Flor De Sevilla, Tanqueray Rangpur and Tanqueray Lovage on the menu.
Cocktails include Royal Blush which is made with Tanqueray No. Ten, rhubarb, lemonade and fresh raspberries and Lovage which mixes Tanqueray Lovage with Fever -Tree tonic, coriander and juniper berries.
Guests can choose from a range of botanicals and garnishes to compliment the fresh aromas of the gin.
Bar 31 will also be hosting a Tanqueray cocktail masterclass with award-winning bartender Jack Sotti on the 14th August on the summer terrace.
Guests will have the chance to explore and indulge their senses whilst being guided through the process of creating the perfect gin cocktail to suit their palettes.
The Tanqueray gin garden at Bar 31 is located at 31 St Thomas St, SE1 9QU and open now until the end of September. For more info visit the Bar 31 website.
