It’s time to start getting excited if you are a fan of gin and fruity desserts, Manchester gin-makers Didsbury Gin are set to release Tutti Frutti Gin Liqueur.
They’ve teamed up with MasterChef champion Simon Wood to create the sweetie-flavour gin, a nod to his Tutti Frutti dessert which won him the title.
Combining the dessert’s fresh lemon, lime, ruby grapefruit, vanilla and passion fruit with the Didsbury gin recipe created a bright and citrus-like gin liqueur.
Simon Wood said: “We’ve been big fans of Didsbury Gin from day one at my restaurant Wood Manchester. I love to support local brands and when Liam and Mark asked if I wanted to collaborate with them, I couldn’t wait to make Tutti Frutti into a gin!
Didbury Gin is normally sold in premium stores such as Harvey Nichols and Selfridges but Tutti Frutti Gin Liqueur is exclusively launching in Aldi stores to coincide with Aldi’s first-ever National Spirits Festival on 22 August.
The launch in Aldi will mark the first time the Manchester gin brand has released a product in a supermarket retailer.
Didsbury Tutti Frutti Gin Liqueur, priced at £13.99, will be available online and in Aldi stores nationwide from 22 August.
