Beefeater is launching a violet-coloured variant that harnesses natural blackberry flavours.
The new 37.5 % ABV Blackberry Gin has the classic Beefeater Gin London Dry Gin base with the added infusion of British blackberry juice.
The taste is described as a “bitter-sweet flavour with classic gin notes of juniper and angelica, developing into a long, rich finish.”
According to Beefeater brand owner Pernod Ricard UK, purple gin is the third fastest growing flavoured gin in the UK.
The new variant will be available to buy exclusively from Tesco for a period of one year, priced at £18.99.
The richly-coloured gin should be a fantastic base for some autumnal blackberry gin cocktails.
It’s the brand’s third flavoured extension in two years after their successful Pink Strawberry and Blood Orange flavours.
Pernod Ricard’s gin boss Louise Ryan said the business had been “been blown away by the success of both Beefeater Pink Strawberry and Beefeater Blood Orange, with almost 150,000 cases sold across both flavours in the UK last year”.
Beefeater Blackberry Gin (70cl) 37.5% ABV will be available to buy exclusively from Tesco, in-store and online from September 9, priced at £18.99.
