One of gin’s great advantages over rival spirits is the ability to make a glass unique and beautiful and there’s no better aid in this department than the pretty power of flowers.

Whether it’s a stunning floral gin garnish or a gin which has key floral botanicals, these floral gin cocktails are sure to brighten up the world of anyone who sees (and hopefully drinks) them.

These recipes are totally unique to the distilleries who provided them so you won’t find them anywhere else. Enjoy these simple floral gin cocktail recipes and help make our favourite tipple be the very best version of itself.

  1. Dill Sour

    Ingredients:

    • •  30ml Cambridge Dry Gin
    • •  25ml lemon juice
    • •  20ml honey syrup
    • •  25ml apple juice
    • •  Egg white
    • •  Fresh dill to garnish
    • •  Fresh flowers to garnish

    Method:

    1. 1. Combine ingredients in a shaker, dry shake, then shake with ice.
    2. 2. Fine strain and serve over ice in tumbler.
    3. 3. Garnish with dill pollen, dill and fresh flowers.

  2. Spring Solstice

    Ingredients:

    Method:

    1. 1. Shake all ingredients except tonic and pour into a Highball glass.
    2. 2. Top up with tonic and garnish with orange and rosemary.
  3. Bee's Knees

    Ingredients:

    • • 50ml Bright Spirits Peels Gin
    • • 25ml fresh lemon juice (strained – no bits or seeds)
    • • 15ml honey and chamomile syrup
    • • 1 egg white (optional)

    Chamomile Syrup:

    • • 1 part honey with 2 parts cold water and 2 teaspoons of dried chamomile

    Method:

    1. 1. Mix the honey with cold water and dried chamomile before bringing to the boil. Muddle well to release the chamomile’s fragrance and leave to stand.
    2. 2. Drain using a fine mesh sieve and combine with all other ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Vigorously shake with plenty of ice.
    3. 3. Strain into a chilled coupe or Martini glass and gently garnish with chamomile flowers.
  4. Dandelion and Burdock Cosmo Daisy

    Ingredients:

    • • 50ml Dandelion & Burdock Gin
    • • 25ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
    • • 10ml sugar syrup
    • • 15ml Triple Sec
    • • 2 raspberries

    Method:

    1. 1. Shake ingredients over ice.
    2. 2. Double strain into a cocktail glass.
    3. 3. Garnish with dandelion flowers.
  5. Bute 75

    Ingredients:

    • • 37.5ml Isle of Bute Gorse Gin
    • • 25ml lemon juice
    • • 12.5ml sugar syrup
    • • 37.5ml Butterfly Pea Tea
    • • Sparkling Wine
    • • Lemon twist and butterfly pea tea flower to garnish

    Method:

    1. 1. Shake up all ingredients apart from sparkling wine into a cocktail shaker filled with cubed ice.
    2. 2. Fine strain into a flute without ice.
    3. 3. Top up with sparkling wine and garnish with lemon twist and a butterfly pea tea flower.
  6. A Rose Between Thorns

    Ingredients:

    Method:

    1. 1. Shake the first three ingredients well with ice in a shaker to thoroughly mix and chill.
    2. 2. Strain into a glass and top with rose lemonade, stir very gently to combine.
    3. 3. Garnish with lime zest.
  7. Rhubarb Rose

    Ingredients:

    • • 60ml Orkney Gin Company Rhubarb Old Tom
    • • 20ml freshly squeezed orange juice
    • • 25ml double cream
    • • 5ml Grenadine
    • • 1 egg white
    • • Fentiman’s Rose Lemonade
    • • Rose petals to garnish

    Method:

    1. 1. Shake together ingredients (except Rose Lemonade), add ice and shake again.
    2. 2. Strain into a chilled tall glass.
    3. 3. Top up with Fentiman’s Rose Lemonade.
    4. 4. Garnish with rose petals.
  8. The Raven Rose

    Ingredients:

    Method:

    1. 1. Half fill a mixing glass with cracked ice.
    2. 2. Add all ingredients and stir until chilled.
    3. 3. Strain into a Martini glass.
    4. 4. Garnish with a rose petal.
  9. The Costa Rica

    Ingredients:

    • • 50ml Samara Gin
    • • 100ml elderflower tonic
    • • 15ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
    • • 1 tbsp dried hibiscus
    • • 15ml sugar syrup

    Method:

    1. 1. Add the gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and hibiscus and shake vigorously with ice.
    2. 2. Strain into a glass and top up with elderflower tonic.
    3. 3. Garnish with hibiscus.
  10. Turkish Thunder

    Ingredients:

    • • 50ml Thunderflower Gin
    • • 15ml fresh lemon juice
    • • 10ml rose syrup
    • • Prosecco
    • • Rosemary

    Method:

    1. 1. Shake the gin, lemon juice and rose syrup with ice in a cocktail shaker.
    2. 2. Strain into a Champagne flute or similar glass.
    3. 3. Top with Prosecco.
    4. 4. Add a sprig of rosemary to garnish.

  11. Kintyre Rose

    Ingredients:

    Method:

    1. 1. Shake the gin and rose syrup over ice.
    2. 2. Pour into a glass and top up with aromatic tonic.
    3. 3. Garnish with rose petals.
  12. Shepherd's Delight

    Ingredients:

    • • 50ml Misty Isle Gin
    • • 25ml Strawberry liqueur
    • • 15ml elderflower cordial
    • • Rose lemonade

    Method:

    1. 1. Add the gin, strawberry liqueur and elderflower cordial to a cocktail shaker and shake.
    2. 2. Fill a Highball glass with crushed ice and pour the contents of the shaker over the ice and top up with rose lemonade.
    3. 3. Garnish with rose petals.
