Since no one can pop out to the local or to a gin tasting session Eden Mill have had the genius idea to bring it into our homes. They call it virtual gin tasting.
But don’t worry about the virtual tag, the gin drinking is for real.
Eden Mill Brand Ambassadors Steve and Chris will be hosting 2 virtual gin tasting sessions on 4 April and 11 April at 5pm.
They will be sampling 6 x gins from a Gin Tasting Set – which you’ll need to purchase – and coaching through a variety of flavours as well as how to taste your gin properly.
They will also share some fun facts around the history of gin and Eden Mill. You will then be given guidance on how to taste and serve your remaining 6 gins at your own leisure in the coming weeks.
Unfortunately the first two sessions have sold out due to an overwhelming response but more sessions are on the way and if you register your interest here, you can be among the first to find out when the next sessions are and sign up.
Participants need to first purchase the 12 Gin Tasting Experience Set. You will then get an email with advice on mixers & garnish suggestions. But it’s totally up to you what you use to mix and dependent on what you have available.
The gin tasting set comprises 12 gins and liqueurs, delivered by courier ahead of the event, alongside two elegant Eden Mill traditional tulip glasses, and two Eden Mill Mixology Project cocktails to kickstart the tasting.
The price for the set – enough for two people – is £50. Great value when you consider that the set would normally cost £74 to buy individually and you’re getting the virtual tasting session included too.
You’ll then need to download Zoom on your computer and check emails for instructions and the activation link to click. In this email you will also be sent an access code that will allow you to join in the tasting session.
Brand Ambassador, Steve Lowrie Mackay said: “We know that people at home are beginning to feel boredom set in and frankly we’d like nothing better than a Saturday night out on the town, but while we can’t do that for our own safety during lockdown, Eden Mill thought we could bring the party to your living room in April.”
The first Eden Mill virtual gin tasting is sold out but sign up here to be first to find out about future events.
