Best Big Batch Gin Cocktails

Giant Gin Mojito

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups gin
  • 2 Litres soda water
  • 6 Limes, quartered
  • 36 Fresh mint leaves, or to taste
  • 1/2 Cup white sugar

Method:

  1. Muddle sugar and mint leaves together in pitcher until leaves are well broken down.
  2. Add limes and muddle until limes are juiced.
  3. Stir gin into sugar mixture then add soda water and stir until sugar is dissolved.

Gin and Pimm’s Punch

Ingredients:

  • 4 Measures gin
  • 4 Measures Pimm’s No.1 Cup
  • 6 Measures lemonade
  • 4 Measures ginger ale
  • Strawberries and oranges to garnish

Method:

  1. Add the gin, Pimm’s, lemonade and ginger ale to a large bowl with ice.
  2. Add fresh fruit such as strawberries and peeled orange segments.
  3. Serve into glasses over ice.

Langra & Tonic

  • 7 Measures gin
  • 4 Measures mango juice
  • 2 Measures lemon juice
  • 2 Measures sugar
  • 200ml Tonic water
  • Lemon slices to garnish

Method:

  1. Fill a large jug with ice cubes, add the ingredients and stir.
  2. Garnish with plenty of lemon wheels.

Twisted Gin Sangria

Ingredients:

  • 4 Measures gin
  • 6 Measures apple juice
  • 2 Measures lemon juice
  • 2 Measures elderflower cordial
  • 6 Measures white wine
  • 6 Measures soda water
  • Lime, orange and lemon to garnish

Method:

  1. Fill a big bowl or jug with ice cubes, add all the ingredients and stir.
  2. Garnish with slices of lime, orange and lemon.

Gin Grapefruit Punch

Ingredients:

  • 4 Cups citrusy gin (such as Bright Spirits Peels or Tanqueray No.10)
  • 4 Cups fresh grapefruit juice
  • 2 Cups fresh lemonade
  • 1-2 Cups honey simple syrup (recipe to follow), depending on desired sweetness
  • 1 Bottle sparkling water
  • Several grapefruit wheels and mint sprigs for garnish

Method:

  1. Make the honey simple syrup: combine 2 cups each, water and raw local honey, in a sauce pan over medium heat and simmer until sugar is fully dissolved. Let cool completely.
  2. In a large drink dispenser or punch bowl carefully combine the gin, grapefruit juice and honey syrup. Stir gently and store in fridge if making ahead.
  3. Slice grapefruit into wheels and store in fridge if making ahead.
  4. When ready to serve add lots of ice, the sparkling water and add the grapefruit wheels and mint sprigs.
  5. Pour over fresh ice.

English Garden Fizz

Ingredients:

  • 500ml London Dry Gin
  • 250ml Triple Sec
  • 250ml Lemon juice
  • 250ml Sugar syrup
  • 250ml Apple juice
  • 500ml Green tea, chilled
  • 500ml Soda water
  • Mint leaves, flowers and lime to garnish

Method:

  1. Add the gin and 1 bunch of mint leaves to a large punch bowl and leave to infuse for 1 hour.
  2. Remove the mint, add the rest of the ingredients and add some ice cubes to the punch bowl.
  3. Stir and garnish with lime wheels, edible flowers and fresh mint leaves.
