Often summer means making a sacrifice of life’s little pleasures in pursuit of that beach bod or simply feeling healthier, but some drinks make it that bit easier to continue to enjoy what you like.

We know a G&T has one of the lowest calorie counts of all the spirit and mixer combinations but Gordon’s have made summer calorie counting even easier with the release of their new Pink Gin & Diet Tonic cans.

Gordon’s Pink Gin was a best-seller all over the world when it was released a few years ago and this year’s Mediterranean Orange Gin and Sicillian Lemon Gin look to be heading the same way.

The new pre-mixed Pink Gin & Diet Tonic is in handy can form, meaning they are portable for any potential summer excursions or simply handy for a back garden tipple.

Gin in a tin isn’t a new thing and neither is pink gin, but it is first time that the new slimline combination has been offered in the ready-to-drink format – and the timing couldn’t be better.

With only 107 calories per 250ml serving the cans are not going to put any serious dents in any summer health ambitions.

Since it’s already been mixed to the perfect ratio Gordon’s recommend simply serving chilled or in a glass with ice and garnished with fresh strawberries.

Gordon’s Pink Gin & Diet Tonic cans will be available in store and online at Tesco from 26 May and Sainsbury’s from 31 May. A single can (250ml) will cost £1.95 and a 4-pack is £6.
