Best Grapefruit Gin Cocktails

  1. The Teasmith Blush

    Ingredients:

    • • 60ml The Teasmith Gin
    • • 100ml pink grapefruit juice
    • • 150ml premium tonic water
    • • Squeeze of lime
    • • Pink grapefruit wedge

    Method:

    1. 1. Mix the ingredients and serve between two glasses over ice.
    2. 2. Garnish with a wedge of pink grapefruit.
  2. Pink Grapefruit Fizz

    Ingredients:

    • • 50ml Fatty’s Organic Pink Grapefruit
    • • 10ml lime juice
    • • 50ml freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice
    • • 10ml sugar syrup
    • • Soda water
    • • Pink grapefruit

    Method:

    1. 1.  Pour the Fatty’s, lime juice, pink grapefruit juice and sugar syrup in to a high ball with crushed ice.
    2. 2. Gently stir and add the soda water.
    3. 3. Garnish with a wedge of pink grapefruit over the edge of the glass.
  3. High Tea Hemmingway

    Ingredients:

    • • 45ml Brookie’s Dry Gin
    • • 20ml grapefruit juice
    • • 10ml Luxardo Maraschino
    • • 15ml lemon juice
    • • 15ml chamomile syrup
    • • Native flowers and grapefruit twist to garnish

    Method:

    1. 1.  In a cocktail shaker, shake the ingredients with ice until chilled.
    2. 2. Double strain over big (hibiscus) ice ball in glass.
    3. 3. Garnish with native flowers and a grapefruit twist.
  4. Earl of Caithness Collins

    Earl Grey Syrup:

    1. 1.  Infuse the earl grey tea leaves with 100ml of just boiled water for 10 minutes.
    2. 2. Strain and add 100g of caster sugar to the tea, stirring until dissolved.
    3. 3. Pour into a bottle, allow to cool and seal. This will keep in a fridge for up to two months.

    To Serve:

    1. 1.  Pour the Pink Grapefruit Old Tom into a cocktail shaker with ice.
    2. 2. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and 15ml of earl grey syrup.
    3. 3. Shake well until chilled.
    4. 4. Strain into a glass with ice and top with soda water.
    5. 5. Garnish with grapefruit zest.
  5. Lemon Gin and Pink Grapefruit Collins

    Ingredients:

    • • 50ml The Lemon Grove Gin
    • • 20ml fresh pink grapefruit juice
    • • 10ml fresh squeezed lemon juice
    • • 10ml gomme sugar syrup
    • • Topped with soda
    • • Garnish with grapefruit or lemon wheel

    Method:

    1. 1. Mix all ingredients in a tall glass and garnish with a grapefruit or lemon wheel.

  7. Pink Monday

    Ingredients:

    • • 50ml Pinkster Gin
    • • Pinkster Gin Jam
    • • 40ml pink grapefruit juice
    • • 30ml apple juice
    • • Basil leaves to garnish

    Method:

    1. 1.  Shake the gin, pink grapefruit juice and apple juice with ice.
    2. 2. Strain into a glass with crushed ice.
    3. 3. Place a dollop of gin jam on top.
    4. 4. Garnish with basil leaves.
  8. The Pepperman

    Ingredients:

    • • 50ml Rock Rose Gin
    • • 25ml grapefruit juice
    • • 12.5ml sugar syrup
    • • Pink peppercorns, ground
    • • Soda water
    • • Strawberries to garnish

    Method:

    1. 1.  Fill the glass half of a cocktail shaker with ice.
    2. 2. Add the Rock Rose gin, grapefruit juice and sugar syrup.
    3. 3. Shake until a thin ice crust forms on the outside of the shaker.
    4. 4. Fill a highball glass with ice.
    5. 5. Single strain the liquor into the glass and top with soda water.

    Method:

    1. 1.  Pour the gin into a tall glass with plenty of ice and top up with tonic water.
    2. 2. Optional garnish of pink grapefruit zest.
  10. Grapefruit & Orange Granita

    Ingredients:

    • • 1 bottle Pickering’s Pink Grapefruit & Lemongrass Liqueur
    • • 250ml fresh orange juice
    • • 250ml pink grapefruit juice
    • • Grapefruit slice (optional garnish)

    Method:

    1. 1.  Combine all 3 ingredients into a freezable container.
    2. 2. Place container in the freezer overnight (or 8 hours), remove and mess around with a fork.
    3. 3. Put back in the fridge for another 8 hours/overnight.
    4. 4. Remove when the mixture is full of chunky ice crystals.
    5. 5. Serve in a bowl with a teaspoon and a twist of grapefruit.
  11. Pink Gin Paloma

    Ingredients:

    • • 40ml Chase Pink Grapefruit & Pomelo Gin
    • • 20ml lime juice
    • • 50ml fresh pink grapefruit juice
    • • 10ml sugar syrup
    • • soda water to top
    • • lemon circle (optional)

    Method:

    1. 1.  Pour the first four ingredients into a tall glass with ice
    2. 2. Stir gently and top with soda water
    3. 3. Garnish with a lemon circle (optional)
  12. Pink Lace Punch

    Ingredients:

    • • 4 measures gin
    • • 200ml rosé wine
    • • 4 measures grapefruit juice
    • • 4 measures lychee juice
    • • 1 measure lemon juice
    • • 6 measures soda water
    • • Tinned lychees to garnish

    Method:

    1. 1.  Fill a large jug with ice cubes.
    2. 2. Add all the ingredients and stir well.
    3. 3. Pour into a glass and garnish with tinned lychees.
  13. Rosemary & Grapefruit Gin Cocktail

    Ingredients:

    Grapefruit gin cocktail:

    • • 50ml gin
    • • 50ml freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice
    • • 25ml honey syrup
    • • 100ml tonic or soda
    • • sprig of rosemary to garnish

    Honey Syrup:

    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 1/4 cup water
    • 1 sprig rosemary

    Method:

    1. 1.  Combine the honey, water and rosemary in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer until the sugar has dissolved.
    2. 2. Let it sit for 5 minutes to let the flavours infuse.
    3. 3. Combine all ingredients including honey syrup into a large jug with ice and serve.
  14. Grapefruit Sparkle

    Ingredients:

    • • 325ml gin
    • • 2 bottles sparkling wine
    • • 350ml fresh grapefruit juice
    • • 4 grapefruits

    Method:

    1. 1.  Add handfuls of cubed ice into large jug or punch bowl.
    2. 2. Pour in the gin, sparkling wine and grapefruit juice and stir well.
    3. 3. Slice the grapefruits into wedges and add them to the jug or bowl.
    4. 4. Optional garnish of grapefruit slice or mint sprig.
  15. Pink Grapefruit Gin Slush

    Ingredients:

    • • 2 cups (500ml) pink grapefruit juice, preferably freshly squeezed
    • • 1/4 cup (50g) sugar
    • • 1/4 to 1/3 cup (60-80ml) gin

    Method:

    1. 1.  In a small saucepan, warm about 1/4 cup (60ml) of the grapefruit juice with the sugar, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and stir the mixture into the rest of the grapefruit juice. Add the gin.
    2. 2. Pour the slush mixture into a freezer-safe container and chill for at least 8 hours, or overnight.
    3. 3. To serve pile the slush into chilled glasses or carve out the insides of a pink grapefruit to fill with slush.
