There’s nothing more refreshing on a hot summer’s day than a cooling fruity sorbet – except maybe one infused with gin.
Irish gin makers Shortcross Gin have created a recipe combing two of the nation’s favourite treats in the form of a gin and strawberry sorbet.
With just three ingredients and three simple steps this recipe ensures it’s never been easier to make your very own frozen gin masterpiece.
Gin & Strawberry Sorbet
- 1kg strawberries
- 125ml gin (Shortcross Rosie’s Garden Gin recommended)
- 175g honey
- Freeze the strawberries beforehand for a smooth texture. We recommend freezing for 3 to 4 hours.
- Once frozen, blitz the strawberries in a food processor until smooth, along with the honey and gin. You may have to do this in batches, depending on how big your food processor is.
- Make sure everything is mixed well together and pour the mixture into a freezer proof bowl/tub to go in to the freezer for 5 to 6 hours, or over night.
