Shortcross Gin

There’s nothing more refreshing on a hot summer’s day than a cooling fruity sorbet – except maybe one infused with gin.

Irish gin makers Shortcross Gin have created a recipe combing two of the nation’s favourite treats in the form of a gin and strawberry sorbet.

With just three ingredients and three simple steps this recipe ensures it’s never been easier to make your very own frozen gin masterpiece.

Gin & Strawberry Sorbet

Ingredients:

  • 1kg strawberries
  • 125ml gin (Shortcross Rosie‚Äôs Garden Gin recommended)
  • 175g honey

Method:

  1. Freeze the strawberries beforehand for a smooth texture. We recommend freezing for 3 to 4 hours.
  2. Once frozen, blitz the strawberries in a food processor until smooth, along with the honey and gin. You may have to do this in batches, depending on how big your food processor is.
  3. Make sure everything is mixed well together and pour the mixture into a freezer proof bowl/tub to go in to the freezer for 5 to 6 hours, or over night.
