Everyone’s favourite spiced gin, Opihr, is being made available in ready to drink can form – arriving just in time for the end of lockdown and the start of outdoor summer drinking.
The new products come in the form of 25cl cans with an ABV of 6.5%.
The two flavours, previously available in glass bottle form, are Gin & Tonic with a dash of ginger and Gin & Tonic with a twist of orange.
Gin & Tonic with a dash of ginger is blended with a light ginger tonic so expect a soft spice and ginger aroma on the nose. This is then finished off with warming spices.
Gin & Tonic with a twist of orange is a sparkling blend of Opihr Gin with rich orange and tonic. Enjoy fruity fresh notes of zest with warm spice, completed by a medium sweet finish.
The new pre-mixed cans will be a welcome option to those who still feel uncertain about visiting pubs and restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic and prefer to drink socially with friends in outdoor spaces.
The cans are also an option for pubs who want to provide a safer drinking environment by reducing the amount of glassware used.
Opihr Gin makers Quintessential Brands’ marketing director, Russel Kirkham, said: “With bars and restaurants still navigating how to operate safely and effectively under the latest COVID-19 rules, premium RTDs also provide on-trade outlets with an efficient way of serving quality drinks safely, without the need for glassware.”
The Opihr ready to drink cans will be priced at £2 per can and will be available on wide release in August 2020.
