Gin and Prosecco is a classic combination but if you fancy giving it a seasonal twist look no further than this autumnal fig gin cocktail by Scottish gin extraordinaires Gin Bothy.

It pairs Gin Bothy’s Raspberry Gin Liqueur with a simple homemade fig syrup that’s so easy to make up in a flute glass.

Fig Gin Fizz Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Fig Simple Syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 fresh chopped figs

How to Make the Fig Simple Syrup*:

  1. Bring all ingredients to the boil
  2. Stir until sugar has dissolved then simmer for 2 minutes
  3. Strain and allow to cool
  4. Can be kept, if chilled, for up to 2 weeks.

Method:

  1. Add the fig simple syrup* to the bottom of a flute glass
  2. Top up with your favourite Prosecco
  3. Garnish with fresh sliced figs
