The Martini is perhaps the most famous cocktail in the world, in part thanks to a certain fictional British spy. But it’s safe to say that we won’t see Bond ordering a Pink Gin Martini anytime soon.
The traditional recipe is simply gin and dry vermouth, sometimes garnished with an olive or lemon twist, but in recent years gin drinkers have experimenting and hence the pink twist on a true classic was born.
The rise of pink gin has coincided with the Instagram generation and we have to say a pink Martini looks pretty special.
Variations on the Martini such as the Espresso Martini, Pinktini and Appletini are imitations of the classic, not containing dry vermouth, but we think they are a fun option to try every once in a while.
